Reel Stories is a free monthly series dedicated showcasing international queer cinema, with a focus on marginalized perspectives. All screenings are in partnership with City of Asylum. City of Asylum builds a more just community by protecting and celebrating creative freedom of expression. They provide sanctuary to literary writers exiled under threat of persecution, so that they can continue to write and are not silenced.
Every event is free and open to the public

Upcoming Event: Venus
Join us on July 27th for a screening of Venus, a heartwarming film that explores what it means to be a family. Sid’s mother has one wish: for Sid to get married and have some kids. Sid’s not opposed to the idea, but to get there…Sid has to introduce their boyfriend to the family and come out as a transgender woman. Oh, and by the way, a fourteen-year-old boy pops up claiming to be Sid’s son.
